Job Title: Extended Care Aide (Aftercare Program)
Location: St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School, Brentwood, MO
Reports To: Principal / Extended Care Coordinator
Employment Type: Part-Time, Hourly
Schedule: Weekdays, After School Hours

St. Mary Magdalen Catholic School in Brentwood is seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic individuals to serve as Extended Care Aides in our Aftercare Program. This program is a vital part of our school community, providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for students after school hours. Aides are responsible for supervising a group of children each day, engaging them in play, helping with snacks and activities, and ensuring a secure and welcoming environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage with a group of school-age children in a caring and positive manner

• Plan or assist with age-appropriate games, crafts, and activities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times

• Maintain knowledge of and follow school safety protocols

• Escort students between school and aftercare areas as needed

• Maintain clear, professional communication with students, staff, and parents

• Support the values and mission of St. Mary Magdalen School and the Catholic Church

Job Requirements

• Must be 16 years or older

• Enjoy working with children and demonstrate kindness, patience, and reliability

• Ability to supervise children and maintain a safe environment

• Understanding of or willingness to learn basic safety protocols and child supervision practices

• Must complete and remain compliant with the Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program, including Protecting God’s Children training and background check (required for those 18 and older)
