Job Summary

The Assistant Principal of Queen of All Saints Catholic School is a dedicated and faith-filled administrator who serves as the spiritual, educational, and managerial leader of the middle school. The Assistant Principal fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by working with the principal in the management of the school, faculty, staff, and students with major emphasis on middle school, as well as student discipline. This position reports to and is evaluated by the principal.

Job Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership:

- Serve as a role model of Gospel values and Catholic teachings in both professional and personal conduct.

         - Ensure the integration of Catholic values in the middle school.

 

Educational Leadership:

          - Oversee the development and implementation of a rigorous, faith-based curriculum that meets diocesan standards, primarily focusing on middle school education.

 - Supervise middle school instruction and assess the effectiveness of academic programs, making recommendations for improvement.

 - Oversee periodic evaluation of curriculum, textbooks, and educational resources to maintain high academic standards in middle school.

 

Managerial Leadership:

- Oversee middle school student discipline, ensuring a positive and respectful school climate.

- Providing guidance to middle school staff to ensure consistency and clear communication.

- Develop a long-term vision for the middle school program.

*In the absence of the school principal, serves as the acting leader of the school.

Job Requirements

  •  Strong knowledge of Catholic education principles, curriculum development, and leadership best practices.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  •  Strong organizational and financial management skills, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  •  Ability to inspire and lead a team, fostering a positive, supportive, and faith-filled school environment.

 

Additional Preferred Skills:

  •  Experience with state and federal educational requirements and reporting.

  •  Proficient in school management software for tracking student data, faculty evaluations, and operational reports.

  •  Knowledge of integrating technology in the classroom and school administration to enhance learning
