Job Summary

A responsible and safety-conscious School Bus Driver. The driver will provide safe and reliable transportation for students to and from school, athletic events, field trips, and other school-sponsored activities. This role is essential in supporting the school's mission of providing a safe and nurturing environment for all students. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a school bus along assigned routes and to special events, ensuring student safety at all times.

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with state and Archdiocesan requirements.

  • Maintain accurate records of mileage, passenger counts, trip logs, and maintenance concerns.

  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and Archdiocesan policies.

  • Supervise student behavior on the bus and report any incidents or concerns to school administration.

  • Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, coaches, teachers, and staff.

  • Keep the bus clean and report any mechanical issues or damage immediately.

  • Maintain appropriate licensing and certifications, including regular drug/alcohol testing as required by law.

Job Requirements

  • Valid Missouri Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger (P) and school bus (S) endorsements.

  • Clean driving record and ability to pass all required background checks.

  • Minimum of 21 years of age.

  • Previous experience driving a school bus or commercial vehicle preferred.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, afternoons, evenings, and occasional weekends.

  • Must be physically capable of performing bus inspections and assisting students when necessary.

  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education; practicing Catholic preferred but not required.
