Job Summary

Certified Medication Technician (CMT) – Weekend Shifts
Pay: From $18.86 per hour
Location: Cardinal Ritter Senior Services – South County, MO

 

Cardinal Ritter Senior Services (CRSS), one of South County’s largest nonprofit senior living communities, is hiring compassionate and experienced Certified Medication Technicians (CMTs) for weekend shifts in our new Assisted Living Memory Care addition.

 

Important:
We are not hiring Level 1 Medication Aides. CMT applicants only. You must be insulin certified.

This part-time role supports our state-of-the-art memory care community, which utilizes Teepa Snow’s Positive Approach to Care. CMTs administer and document medications (excluding intramuscular and subcutaneous injections, except insulin), assist with daily living tasks, and provide 24-hour protective oversight for residents with physical, cognitive, or social impairments.

 

Available Shifts:

  • Full-time evenings and Part-time evenings ONLY 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Administer medications per state/federal guidelines
  • Perform blood sugar testing and insulin administration
  • Maintain glucometer calibration and documentation
  • Monitor and report resident responses and changes in condition
  • Track controlled substances and reorder medications
  • Administer oxygen and maintain oxygen systems
  • Assist with bathing, hygiene, mobility, and ADL devices
  • Conduct monthly safety checks and document findings
  • Support housekeeping and personal laundry tasks
  • Record incidents, accidents, and resident events
  • Encourage resident participation in meals and activities
  • Provide beverage service at lunch and dinner
  • Participate in resident-centered activity programs
  • Respond appropriately in emergencies
  • Support quality assurance and train new staff
  • Promote customer service and maintain a safe, clean environment
  • Attend staff meetings and required in-services
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing (Missouri)
  • Completed Missouri CMT training and insulin certification
  • CPR certified or willing to obtain
  • Electronic Health Record (EHR) literate
  • Able to work independently and follow care plans
  • Physically and emotionally capable of fulfilling job duties
