Job Summary

A Catholic Elementary School Teacher is responsible for fostering a Christ-centered, academically excellent learning environment that nurtures the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth of each student. The teacher will integrate Catholic values into all aspects of education, maintain high academic standards, and uphold the mission and vision of the school in alignment with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS).

Job Responsibilities

  • Faith Integration: Model Catholic values, foster a respectful and inclusive environment, and participate in liturgies and religious celebrations.

  • Instructional Excellence: Design engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards, use varied instructional strategies, and integrate technology to enhance learning.

  • Student Development: Support students’ spiritual, academic, and social-emotional growth, maintain high expectations, assess progress, and communicate effectively with families and staff.

  • Community Engagement: Build strong relationships, support school events and service projects, and exemplify faith, service, and academic excellence.

  • Professional Growth: Pursue ongoing development, reflect on practice, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance student success.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Valid teaching credential or certification appropriate for elementary education.

  • Practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church.

  • Strong knowledge of Catholic teachings and a commitment to faith-based education.

  • Experience teaching in a classroom setting, preferably in a Catholic school.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in using educational technology to enhance instruction.
