The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area.  Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

The Coordinator works to ensure a strong Catholic formation, sacramental preparation, and faith development consistent with the teachings of the Catholic Church and the pastoral vision of the parish.

Job Responsibilities

Essential functions of the position include the following: 

  • Facilitating the Faith Formation of students, faculty, and staff, including reviewing our curriculum
  • Planning, organizing, and executing Sacramental preparation, Sacramental services, and Masses for all parish children 
  • Creating and implementing a family faith formation program for school and parish 
  • Planning and executing retreats for students, faculty, and staff 
  • Facilitating service opportunities for students 
  • Fostering a connection between the school and the parish 
  • Coordinating weekly school Masses, monthly class Masses, and other prayer services and religious activities
  • Coordinating religious education for parishioners in our public schools
  • Overseeing the implementation of Theology of the Body in the day school

Job Requirements

Candidates should be practicing Catholics willing to help build St. Monica Catholic Church as a community of Faith.  A successful candidate would have a bachelor's degree in theology, catechesis, or education. All candidates must have, are working towards, or are willing to work towards Catechetical Leader Certification. Training and certification in Catechesis of the Good Shepard/Theology of the Body are a plus.
