St. Patrick Center provides opportunities for self-sufficiency and dignity to people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Individuals and families build permanent, positive change in their lives through safe and affordable housing, sound mental and physical health, and employment and financial stability. 

Working collaboratively with individuals, businesses, government and other service providers, St. Patrick Center will end chronic homelessness in the St. Louis region through Housing First, an evidence-based practice that tells us to remove barriers, do intake and assessment early, move people into housing and offer them support to achieve their goals. 

Position Summary

St. Patrick Center, a ministry of Catholic Charities, is hiring a Donation Center Coordinator to support the operations of the donation center and sharing services. This position supports the Donation Center Specialist in distributing donated goods to case managers for client use. The coordinator will accept donor donations and build relationships through excellent customer service. The core working hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Overview and Responsibilities

•    Supervises and manages operations of the donation center

•    Distributes donated goods throughout sharing services and to case managers

•    Schedules donor pickups and deliveries for donated goods

•    Completes donor pickups and deliveries for donated goods

•    Logs receipt of donations coming in donation center

•    Acts as point of contact for Operation Food Search, St. Louis Area Food Bank, and other partners

•    Staff liaison in employee orientation regarding usage policies and needs

•    Works with volunteers to manage the food pantry and clothing room

•    Responds to donation inquiries, phone calls, and email in a timely and responsive manner

•    Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Experience Requirements

•    High school diploma or GED required

•    Valid and current auto insurance preferred

•    Reliable vehicle preferred

•    Requires driver’s license (MO residents require a Class E).

Skills and Competencies Required

•    Ability to work a minimum of 37.5 hours a week

•    Ability to perform physical work, including working in outdoor elements

•    Excellent customer service and interpersonal relations

•    Flexibility and positive attitude

•    Ability to work with a diverse population

•    Strong decision-making skills

•    Ability to work in a team environment

•    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unaided is required

Pre-Employment Screening
