Job Description

POSITION TITLE: EHR Manager and Trainer

REPORTS TO: Chief Finance Officer

DIRECT REPORTS: Not applicable

Position Description

The EHR Application Manager and Trainer is to provide staff support through application development, enhancement, error troubleshooting and resolution, and production support of multiple electronic health record (EHR) systems used in Catholic Charities ministries. This position will also support continual improvement efforts through workflow analysis, testing, training, and documentation. This Manager will oversee the day-to-day support and serve as the primary point of contact for the EHR system users. Job responsibilities will include support for any new or upgrade implementation module(s). Implementation tasks will include facilitating end-user application training, monitoring end-user adoption of existing and new workflows implemented, and reporting findings and trends. This role is expected to be proactive in the research of new features and functions and will assist the Operations and Clinical teams with incorporating new methods into their standard operating procedures. The Manager will provide ongoing training and support for all existing and new staff members.

Core Functions

The following job-related functions may not include all of the duties, knowledge or abilities associated with this position:

· Collaborate with end users and partners to triage and troubleshoot EHR technical issues, driving towards root cause identification and resolution.

· Configure the EHR system based on workflow enhancements, improvement efforts, and new requirements, in collaboration with internal teams and in alignment with ministry grants and contracts

· Lead and/or support of moderately complex projects which may include planning, process mapping, and configuration, testing and validation, training development, and site-by-site implementation

· Lead and/or support collaborative improvement efforts, including recommending modifications to the EHR and end user workflows to ensure accurate and timely collection of necessary data

· Provide technical and operational guidance and education in efficient and effective use of application

· Develop and maintain application end user and super user training curriculum

· Create and maintain application technical support documentation

· Deliver EHR training to new employees as well as training on new features to existing employees.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· Associates degree or at least four years of equivalent experience

· Minimum of 2 years supporting an EHR system

· Experience creating written technical and end user support documentation preferred

· Experience with training super users and end users preferred

· Clinical coding/billing a plus

· Strong knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations

· Previous experience Department of Mental Health funded agency a plus

· Exceptional analytical skills

· Ability to communicate technical issues and concepts to non-technical individuals

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
