Job Description
REPORTS TO: Community Clinical Director
DIRECT REPORTS: N/A
CORE FUNCTIONS
· Follow monthly Recovery Coach Engagement Specialist (CES) schedule/plan.
· Efforts will be provided to individuals who had been referred to a dedicated partner SUD agency through an EPICC outreach to begin at time of intake. This position will require motivational and collaborative efforts by the Engagement Specialist to create trusted relationships between consumers and partner agencies/teams
· Coordinate re-connection to treatment and recovery support services and collaborate with current partners to provide access to long term recovery/treatment engagement
· Provide and document efforts on overdose education and resources on harm reduction
· Accurately document engagement efforts in Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) Database and/or other outreach management system as required
· Follow-up with clients and treatment centers in real time to ensure the active participation in the agency treatment services
· Document client service dates and follow-ups as needed to keep the client engaged or to re-engage as well as completing status updates at two weeks, 30 days, three months, and six months post-outreach.
· Meet weekly with EPICC leadership team regularly to debrief from challenges, discuss cases and engagement strategies. You will participate in EPICC staff meetings and ensure proper form completion.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
· Must work well in a team environment and willing to be flexible.
· Must have strong time management skills and be able to work independently to complete documentation.
· Must be willing to work 40 hours per week; this position will include hours shared between your hiring agency and the EPICC team for program requirements.
· Must be able to communicate well with clients and colleagues using clear verbal expression and thoughtful listening skills.
· Must be comfortable working with diverse populations (including race, sexual orientation, religion, gender identity, etc.) and be committed to providing service delivery through an equity framework
· Must adhere to the philosophy that medication assisted treatment is an appropriate form of treatment for people in recovery.
· Basic computer skills including familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications and Google Drive and the ability to learn the agency Electronic Health Record (EHR)
QUALIFICATIONS
· Must possess Missouri Peer Specialist certification at time of hire or within 30 days of hire.
· High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) required.
· Previous lived experience with substance use. Former consumer of substance use treatment services is a plus. Must be in recovery for a minimum of two years.
· Oral and written communication skills
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
· Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and motor vehicle insurance.
· Must be able to pass background check or request an exception to the findings.
· Must be at least 21 years of age.
