St. Cecilia School, a joyful, faith-centered Catholic school in the heart of South St. Louis, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our team for the [insert academic year] school year. Job Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in all core subject areas (e.g., religion, math, reading, writing, science, social studies).

Create a classroom environment that fosters respect, active learning, and a love of Christ and neighbor.

Assess student learning regularly and use data to inform instruction and support individual student needs.

Integrate Catholic faith and values into daily lessons and classroom culture.

Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and school leadership to support school-wide initiatives and student achievement.

Communicate regularly and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.

Attend faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events as required.

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other required documentation.

Uphold and support the teachings and policies of the Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the principal.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.

Valid Missouri Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain one.

Practicing Catholic preferred; must be willing to support and uphold Catholic Church teachings.

Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills.

Ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners.

A collaborative spirit and commitment to ongoing professional growth.

Successful completion of the Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program (including background check and training).
