Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Enrichment Teacher who will further our commitment to academic excellence by designing and implementing an enrichment program for students who thrive academically when presented with more depth and task complexity. The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator who can foster intellectual curiosity and critical thinking in students, while collaborating with classroom teachers, administrators, and families in a faith-filled community.

Job Responsibilities

Program Development & Implementation:

  • Design and launch an enrichment program tailored to the needs of high-achieving learners identified by the primary and intermediate campuses.
  • Develop curriculum and enrichment activities that promote advanced thinking, problem-solving, research, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Align programming with national gifted standards and school goals.
  • Create and manage a referral, screening, and identification process for students.

Instruction & Student Support:

  • Provide direct instruction to identified students through pull-out groups, push-in services, and/or enrichment clusters.
  • Differentiate instruction to challenge students while supporting their social-emotional development.
  • Foster a stimulating learning environment that supports student independence, creativity, critical thinking, and engagement through productive struggle.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to support differentiated instruction and enrichment opportunities in the regular classroom.
  • Serve as a resource and coach for staff regarding best practices in gifted education.
  • Communicate regularly with families about student progress, program objectives, and enrichment opportunities.

Program Evaluation & Growth:

  • Use data and feedback to assess program effectiveness and make recommendations for growth and improvement.
  • Stay current on research and best practices in gifted education and apply them to program development.

 

Job Requirements

  • Willingness to work in a faith-based community 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education; experience in gifted education or differentiated instruction.
  • Valid teaching certification, endorsement, or certification in gifted education preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience, with experience working with gifted or high-achieving students preferred.
  • Strong understanding of characteristics of gifted learners and best practices in gifted education.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to design creative, inquiry-based, and interdisciplinary learning experiences.
