Job Summary

Bishop DuBourg High School, a co-ed Catholic school committed to educating a diverse coeducational community, enabling young people to reach their full potential, is accepting applications for a Family and Consumer Science teacher for the remainder of the  2025-2026 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Foods & Nutrition, and Child Development classes. This is a part-time, Monday-Friday position.

Job Responsibilities

  • Teach Foods & Nutrition and Child Development classes with engaging, standards-based instruction.

  • Create safe, hands-on learning experiences, especially in food labs and practical skill activities.

  • Assess student progress, provide feedback, and maintain accurate records.

  • Manage the classroom effectively and promote a positive, respectful learning environment.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet varied student needs.

  • Collaborate with colleagues and support the mission of the school.

  • Communicate professionally with students, families, and staff.

  • Participate in meetings, professional development, and required school activities.

Job Requirements

-Minimum Bachelor's degree in Family and Consumer Sciences or Education preferred. Applicants with an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience are welcome to apply.

-Valid Missouri teaching certification (Grades 9-12) or ability to become certified

-Three or more successful years of teaching experience preferred but NOT required.

- Dedication and enthusiasm to help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able and responsible men and women

-Ability to collaborate with colleagues to support the mission of the school and promote academic excellence

-Effectively manage the classroom environment

-Differentiate instruction to challenge and meet the needs of all students
