Job Title: Gym Supervisor
Location: St. Gabriel the Archangel School – St. Louis, MO
St. Gabriel the Archangel, a parish within the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is seeking a responsible and reliable Gym Supervisor to oversee all sporting events held in the school gymnasium. This part-time role ensures a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for student-athletes, families, and visitors.
Job Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor all sporting events taking place in the gymnasium (e.g., basketball, volleyball, etc.).

Serve as the primary on-site point of contact during games and practices.

Ensure the safety and appropriate conduct of all participants and spectators.

Open and close the gym facility according to scheduled event times.

Perform routine maintenance and custodial duties before, during, and after events, including setup and cleanup of equipment, bleachers, and restrooms.

Report any facility damage, safety concerns, or disciplinary issues to the Business Manager.

Support coaches, referees, and visiting teams with logistical needs as appropriate.

Ensure compliance with parish and Archdiocesan policies regarding facility use.
Job Requirements

Prior experience in facility supervision, sports event coordination, or custodial/maintenance work preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work evenings and weekends based on event schedules.

Reliable, punctual, and committed to upholding the values of St. Gabriel the Archangel and the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Must pass all required background checks and Archdiocesan Safe Environment training.
Work Environment
This position involves physical activity, including standing for long periods, light to moderate lifting, and walking throughout the facility. The schedule is primarily evenings and weekends during active sports seasons.
