Head Baseball Coach

Job Summary

Cardinal Ritter College Prep seeks a dedicated and experienced Head Baseball Coach to lead the boys baseball program. The coach will oversee all aspects of team development, including instruction, planning, and promoting a culture of discipline, academic accountability, and competitive excellence.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and implement practice schedules, conditioning, and game strategies.
• Teach fundamentals of baseball, including rules, techniques, and situational play.
• Supervise assistant coaches and delegate responsibilities appropriately.
• Foster academic success, personal development, and sportsmanship.
• Coordinate game scheduling, transportation, and equipment management.
• Maintain compliance with school, league, and MSHSAA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school administration.
• Serve as a mentor and role model on and off the field.

Job Requirements

• Prior baseball coaching experience (head coach preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of baseball strategy, fundamentals, and instruction.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• MSHSAA certification or eligibility.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends during the spring season.
