Position Summary:
Cardinal Ritter College Preparatory High School, a coeducational, college-preparatory high school serving students in grades 9–12, is seeking a dynamic and dedicated full-time Health and Weight Training Teacher for the 2025–2026 academic year. This position offers the opportunity to serve in a mission-driven, urban Catholic school environment that prepares students for post-secondary success through rigorous academics and a strong moral foundation.
Job Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality instruction in Health and Weight Training, aligned with the school’s academic standards and the Gradual Release of Responsibility Model

Develop and implement engaging, project-based learning activities and performance assessments that promote higher-order thinking

Integrate instructional technology and use Google applications for classroom and administrative tasks

Maintain a classroom atmosphere that is respectful, safe, and conducive to learning

Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum and share best practices

Use student data systems to track academic progress and support student growth

Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Cardinal Ritter College Prep and the Archdiocese of St. Louis in all professional interactions
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred

Valid Missouri State Teaching License in Health, Physical Education, or related field

Demonstrated ability to teach in an urban, college-preparatory setting

Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student achievement

Experience working with diverse student populations

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Demonstrated commitment to the vocation of teaching and Catholic education
