Job Summary
This position is for providing daily cleaning service to facility restrooms, faculty and staff offices, common meeting rooms, hallways and classrooms. This position has housekeeping responsibilities for the residential community and guest rooms.
Job Responsibilities
1. Performs trash removal, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, wiping, cleaning and disinfection of the restrooms and shower rooms.
2. Cleans windows, baseboards/trim and stairways.
3. Picks up and changes the linen of the residential community and guest rooms.
4. Submit request for or obtain from the storage stock supplies.
Job Requirements
1. High school diploma or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
2. Ability to understand English language sufficiently to be able to read information contained in instructions, safety data sheets, and informational brochures.
3. Sufficient manual dexterity to be able operate maintenance and floor care equipment safely.
4. Ability to perform all of the essential job functions for a minimum of an eight-hour shift, with two fifteen minutes breaks, and one half-hour meal break, without a significant risk of serious injury.
5. Ability and willingness to learn and perform all essential job functions accurately, with minimal direct supervision.
Physical Demands
1. Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, reach overhead, and lift 50 lbs. and to stand or walk during entire shift.
2. Must be able to stand operating floor equipment, as well as bending over to clean bathroom fixtures during the eight-hour day.
3. Must be able to work in conditions that can be hot, cold, dusty and noisy both inside and outside of the building, on a 30-acre campus.

1. Must be willing to change tasks as needs arise throughout the day to meet occupant’s needs.
2. Positive in all interactions with staff and visitors to the facility is essential.
3. Must be responsive to the Director of Operations and Finance and other staff.
4. Must keep Maintenance apprised of any situations that could result in disruption to operations at the Kenrick Glennon Seminary.
