Job Summary
The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking two mission-driven Summer Interns to join our Human Resources/Talent Acquisition team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience in HR operations within a faith-based organization, supporting the recruitment and other key HR initiatives for employees who serve the Catholic community across the St. Louis area.
Location: Cardinal Rigali Center, 20 Archbishop May Drive, Shrewsbury, MO 63119
Compensation: $15.00/hour
Schedule: 5 days per week, 30 hours/week, onsite
Duration: Summer 2025 (approximately 10–12 weeks)
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting and onboarding efforts, including job postings, applicant screening, interview scheduling, and orientation prep
- Assist in compiling HR data and generating routine reports (e.g., headcount, turnover, recruiting activity)
- Support employee record management
- Participate in compliance-related tasks (e.g., background checks, I-9 audits, document reviews)
- Monitoring HR inboxes and responding to frequently asked questions
- Supporting candidates by answering questions about job postings, application procedures, and the hiring timeline
- Providing guidance on system navigation during application or onboarding
- Documenting common inquiries to help identify process improvement opportunities; development of FAQ resources or internal HR communications
- Conduct research and provide administrative support on HR special projects
- Attend HR team meetings and assist in reporting or presentation preparation
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or related field
- Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism
- Eagerness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment
