Italian Teacher - Part Time

St. Ambrose Catholic School

A Catholic Part Time Italian Teacher is responsible for fostering a Christ-centered, academically excellent learning environment that nurtures the spiritual, intellectual, social, and emotional growth of each student. The teacher will integrate Catholic values into all aspects of education, maintain high academic standards, and uphold the mission and vision of the school in alignment with the National Standards and Benchmarks for Effective Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools (NSBECS).

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a rigorous and engaging Italian language curriculum for preschool through eighth grade.
  • Teach students fundamental speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Foster an appreciation for the language’s culture and history, incorporating Catholic perspectives.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, including interactive activities, role-playing, and multimedia resources.
  • Assess student progress through exams, projects, and classroom participation.
  • Collaborate with other faculty members to create interdisciplinary learning experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with parents about student progress and curriculum goals.

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Teaching certification or ability to obtain one.
  • Fluency in the language being taught.
  • Commitment to Catholic education and values.
