Kindergarten Teacher

St. Clement of Rome Catholic School in Des Peres is looking for faith-filled, experienced, caring, and compassionate educators to teach in one of our elementary classrooms in our PK-8 parish school. Elementary grades are K-4. Under the supervision of the Principal and the Assistant Principal, the teacher is responsible for fostering the intellectual, social, physical, and faith development of children. 

•    This is a 200 day contract position
•    The position is exempt


Job Responsibilities

The following responsibilities are not exhaustive. The Principal may assign additional duties to support the mission of Immaculate Conception of Dardenne Catholic School.


•    Actively live and promote the school’s mission.
•    Uphold the Catholic Church’s mission per the Christian Witness statement and Gospel teachings.
•    Provide instruction and an environment fostering whole-child development at appropriate age and grade levels.
•    Plan and prepare lessons aligned with curriculum goals and objectives.
•    Demonstrate subject expertise and effective communication, organizing materials to optimize learning and engagement.
•    Use evaluation methods aligned with curriculum objectives to assess student progress effectively.
•    Maintain consistent discipline that fosters self-direction and positive self-image while managing behavior effectively.
•    Collaborate with administration and staff to build positive relationships with students and parents.

Job Requirements

  • A BA or BS in Education or Early Elementary Education is required
  • Teacher Certification through the Department of Education must be valid
