Learning Consultant 5-8

Job Summary

Immacolata School, a faith-filled and academically rigorous Catholic school in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is seeking a qualified and compassionate Learning Consultant for grades 5–8. The Learning Consultant will serve as a key resource for supporting diverse learners by collaborating with teachers, families, and administrators to ensure students receive appropriate academic and behavioral support. This position plays a critical role in maintaining an inclusive environment where all students are given the tools and opportunities to succeed.

Job Responsibilities

• Identify students in grades 5–8 who need academic or behavioral interventions through data analysis, teacher referrals, and classroom observations.

• Develop, implement, and monitor student support plans, including accommodation plans and learning strategies.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to modify curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual student needs.

• Serve as a liaison between the school and outside support services, including public school districts, therapists, and psychologists.

• Assist with standardized testing accommodations and documentation for qualifying students.

• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, concerns, and strategies for success.

• Provide small group or individual instruction for students as needed.

• Support the Response to Intervention (RTI) process and coordinate meetings with teachers and parents.

• Maintain records and documentation related to student progress, assessments, and support services.

• Uphold and model the Catholic mission and values of Immacolata School and the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Learning Disabilities, Educational Psychology, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

• Valid Missouri teaching certification in Special Education or related field preferred.

• Experience working with upper elementary or middle school students in a school setting.

• Strong knowledge of best practices in differentiated instruction, learning accommodations, and behavioral interventions.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

• Commitment to Catholic education and the values and mission of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

• Completion of Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment training and background check requirements.
