Job Summary
The Church Maintenance Worker plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at Holy Redeemer. This individual performs routine maintenance, custodial tasks, and minor repairs across parish buildings and grounds. The role supports the mission of the Catholic Church by helping create a space that reflects reverence, hospitality, and care for the sacred and communal life of the parish.
Job Responsibilities
Facilities Maintenance

Perform minor repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, doors, and furnishings.

Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

Coordinate with outside vendors for specialized repairs or inspections as needed.
Custodial Duties

Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, kitchen areas, and the church sanctuary.

Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust regularly to ensure cleanliness throughout the campus.

Dispose of trash and recycling according to schedules and guidelines.
Job Requirements

Basic knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).

Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing ladders, and working outdoors.

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
