We are currently looking for a Maintenance Technician at Our Lady of Life Independent Living Facility, and we’d love for you to join us!
Position Overview
This role encompasses a variety of building and equipment repair, maintenance tasks, and apartment turnovers. Key responsibilities include:
- Painting, drywall repairs, electrical repairs, HVAC servicing, PTAC replacements, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Equipment testing, ongoing maintenance, and ensuring all areas are kept functional and presentable.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Daily inspection of the building(s) and grounds to determine repair and clean-up needs.
- Service, filter changes, and cleaning of HVAC and PTAC units.
- Performance of custodial duties in case of staff absence.
- Recordkeeping for Work Orders and supply inventory.
- Overseeing and escorting outside contractors, conducting inspections of systems such as fire panels, elevators, and boilers.
- Maintaining snow removal, lawn care, flowerbeds, bushes, and landscaping free from debris and weeds.
- Addressing safety and security concerns raised by Management.
- Immediate response to emergencies, keeping the CRSS cell phone charged for emergency use at all times.
- Ensuring a clean, organized shop and inventory of parts and equipment.
- Participation in biannual quality projects alongside the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge & Experience
- Background in custodial and service fields with experience in skilled trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, or carpentry.
- Knowledge of acceptable trade practices and building standards.
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Strong prioritization skills.
