Job Summary
St. Ambrose School is seeking a school nurse. The ideal candidate will hold a nursing degree and be CPR trained. Candidates should be enthusiastic, have good communication skills, and have a passion for working with children.
Job Responsibilities
- Assess and treat minor injuries and illnesses
- Administer medications per physician and parental instructions
- Maintain accurate student health records and documentation
- Monitor students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies)
- Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives
- Communicate with parents regarding student health concerns
- Ensure compliance with state and archdiocesan health policies
- Assist in developing emergency health plans and responding to medical emergencies
Job Requirements
- Experience working with children preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents
