Job Summary
The Office Administrator supports the mission of the Catholic Church by managing the daily operations of the parish office. This role provides administrative support to the pastor, staff, and ministry leaders, ensuring efficient communication, proper recordkeeping, and a welcoming environment for parishioners and visitors.
Job Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for parishioners and visitors

Answer phones, respond to emails, and manage incoming/outgoing mail

Maintain parish calendars, scheduling Mass intentions, events, sacraments, and facility usage

Prepare weekly bulletins, newsletters, flyers, and parish-wide communications

Maintain and update parish website and social media (if applicable)

Provide administrative support to the pastor, deacon(s), and staff

Assist in coordinating parish ministries and volunteer groups

Help organize liturgical schedules and ministry rosters (lectors, altar servers, etc.)
Job Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information

Professional demeanor, friendly, and welcoming to all

Experience with parish management systems (e.g., ParishSOFT, PDS, Realm)

Basic knowledge of bookkeeping or financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks)

Familiarity with liturgical calendars and Catholic sacraments
