Job Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Assistant supports the Facility and Property Manager in the upkeep and maintenance of buildings and grounds. This position is responsible for performing general maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, lawn care, snow removal, and other duties as assigned to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all.
Job Responsibilities

Assist with interior and exterior painting projects.

Perform regular cleaning and janitorial duties as required.

Maintain lawn and landscaped areas, including mowing, trimming, and general care.

Remove snow and ice from walkways, entrances, and driveways as needed.

Conduct minor repairs and maintenance of facility equipment and property.

Assist with event setup and teardown (e.g., tables, chairs, equipment).

Respond to maintenance requests or emergencies in a timely manner.

Follow safety procedures and report hazards or repair needs to the Manager.

Perform other related duties as assigned by the Facility and Property Manager.
Job Requirements

Experience in general maintenance, landscaping, or janitorial work preferred.

Ability to operate basic tools and maintenance equipment (e.g., lawnmower, snowblower, hand tools).

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.

Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Ability to take direction and work independently or as part of a team.

Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming facility.
