Job Summary
Christ the King School is seeking a creative, passionate, and faith-filled Part-Time Art Teacher to work with students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. This teacher will foster an appreciation for the visual arts, introduce students to a range of art techniques and media, and integrate creativity with Catholic values in a supportive and engaging environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver weekly art instruction for K–5 students.
- Create a welcoming, student-centered classroom that encourages artistic expression and exploration.
- Develop age-appropriate lessons that incorporate art history, techniques, and hands-on activities.
- Display student artwork throughout the school and contribute to school-wide events or projects as needed.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to integrate art into cross-curricular learning where appropriate.
- Uphold the mission and values of Christ the King School and contribute positively to our faith-based learning environment.
Job Requirements
- Teaching experience with elementary-aged students
- Ability to manage a classroom with a range of ages and skill levels
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Practicing Catholic preferred, but not required
