Job Summary

Seeking a faithful, knowledgeable, and passionate Theology Teacher to join our faculty. The Theology Teacher plays a vital role in fulfilling the mission of Catholic education by leading students to a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith, fostering spiritual growth, and forming disciples of Christ. The ideal candidate will be committed to the teachings of the Catholic Church and skilled in creating a dynamic and intellectually rich classroom rooted in truth and tradition.

Job Responsibilities

  • Teach Theology classes to students in grades [Insert Grade Levels, e.g., 7–12] using an approved, Church-aligned curriculum

  • Integrate Sacred Scripture, Catholic doctrine, morality, Church history, liturgy, and prayer into lessons

  • Promote a classroom culture of faith, reverence, respect, and inquiry

  • Encourage students to apply Catholic principles to their daily lives and decision-making

  • Collaborate with campus ministry and faculty to support school liturgies, retreats, and service projects

  • Model Catholic values in both professional and personal life

  • Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and school leadership

  • Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback

  • Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-wide events

  • Uphold and support all school and diocesan policies and procedures

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field required

  • Master’s degree or advanced theological training preferred

  • Practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church, who demonstrates a personal commitment to the faith

  • Knowledge of and fidelity to the Catechism of the Catholic Church and Magisterial teachings

  • Teaching experience preferred; certification or licensure in education or theology is a plus

  • Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to witness to the faith with enthusiasm, authenticity, and humility
