Job Summary

The Part-Time Director of Maintenance oversees maintenance operations across all Cardinal Ritter Senior Services (CRSS) properties to ensure safe, functional, and well-maintained facilities. This role focuses on managing key maintenance activities, supporting on-site maintenance teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating essential repair and preventive maintenance efforts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee facility inspections, maintenance schedules, and repair records to ensure quality and safety.

  • Coordinate and monitor preventive maintenance programs and essential repairs.

  • Support and guide maintenance supervisors and staff on project priorities and safety standards.

  • Obtain and evaluate vendor bids; coordinate with approved contractors for repair and renovation work.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment, materials, and maintenance activities.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and CRSS safety policies.

  • Collaborate with Housing Directors, Administrators, and staff to address maintenance needs efficiently.

  • Participate in budget planning and monitor maintenance-related expenditures.

  • Serve as a safety leader by promoting best practices and compliance across all sites. 

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school background preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in facilities management, construction, or maintenance operations.

  • Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance, building systems, and safety compliance.

  • Experience managing vendors, obtaining bids, and overseeing project timelines.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic facility management software.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between CRSS properties as needed.

  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and respect for residents and staff.

  • Ability to assess maintenance priorities and coordinate multiple projects effectively.

  • Responsive and dependable, with strong problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Capable of performing essential physical functions related to maintenance oversight.
