Job Title: Full‑Time Preschool Teacher’s Aide

Position Summary
Immacolata Catholic Church is seeking a caring, dependable, and mission‑driven Full‑Time Preschool Teacher’s Aide to support the preschool classroom. This role assists the lead teacher in creating a joyful, structured, and faith‑centered environment where young children can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. The ideal candidate demonstrates patience, strong communication skills, a love for early childhood education, and a commitment to supporting the developmental needs of preschool‑aged children within a Catholic community.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the lead teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate lessons, activities, and learning centers.
- Assist with small‑group instruction, one‑on‑one support, and hands‑on learning experiences.
- Help maintain a nurturing, respectful, and faith‑filled classroom environment aligned with the mission of Immacolata Catholic Church.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, transitions, recess, lunch, rest time, and other assigned duties.
- Prepare, organize, and clean classroom materials, supplies, and learning spaces to ensure a safe and engaging environment.
- Support positive behavior guidance using developmentally appropriate strategies.
- Assist with faith‑based activities, prayer, and character‑building moments integrated into the school day.
- Communicate kindly and professionally with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.
- Help maintain attendance records, student documentation, and other classroom paperwork as directed by the lead teacher.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and schoolwide events.
- Uphold and model Catholic values, contributing positively to the spiritual life of the school community.
Qualifications
- Experience working with preschool‑aged children in a school, parish, or childcare setting preferred.
- Understanding of early childhood development and age‑appropriate practices.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education and Immacolata Catholic Church.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Warm, patient, and nurturing disposition with the ability to support young learners.
- Ability to follow direction, take initiative, and work effectively as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift, bend, sit on the floor, and actively supervise children throughout the day.
- Must meet Archdiocesan compliance requirements, including Safe Environment training.
