Chief Academic & Executive Leader
The High School Principal is the chief academic and operational school leader, ensuring a high-quality educational experience that aligns with the institution’s mission and values. This role demands strategic vision, instructional leadership, and operational oversight to foster a dynamic learning environment that promotes student success, faculty excellence, and community engagement.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic & Instructional Leadership
- Establish and articulate a compelling vision for academic excellence and student achievement.
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the school’s curriculum, instructional practices, and assessment strategies.
- Foster a culture of high expectations, innovation, and continuous learning among faculty and students.
- Utilize data-driven, decision-making to enhance student performance and faculty effectiveness.
Talent Management & Professional Growth
- Recruit, mentor, and retain exceptional faculty and staff in collaboration with the school’s leadership team.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities for faculty and educational personnel.
- Design and implement comprehensive professional development programs aligned with instructional goals and emerging educational trends.
Operational & Administrative Oversight
- Oversee the development of the master schedule, academic calendar, and student services programs to optimize learning experiences.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping, compliance with accreditation standards, and adherence to school policies and procedures.
- Implement and uphold a fair, effective student discipline framework that fosters personal growth and accountability.
- Provide leadership in student activities and extracurricular programs to support holistic student development.
Faith Formation & Mission Integration
- Serve as a spiritual leader, ensuring that Catholic identity, values, and teachings are embedded in all aspects of school life.
- Promote a school culture that nurtures faith development, moral character, and servant leadership.
- Collaborate with faculty, campus ministry, and the local parish to provide opportunities for prayer, worship, retreats, and service-learning experiences.
- Ensure religious instruction is effectively integrated into the curriculum, aligning with Church teachings and diocesan guidelines.
Community Engagement & Institutional Advancement
- Cultivate strong relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff, and community stakeholders.
- Serve as a key ambassador for the school, fostering partnerships that enhance academic and extracurricular opportunities.
- Leverage technology and innovative tools to enhance communication, collaboration, and instructional delivery.
Job Requirements
- Master’s degree in Education or School Leadership (preferred); minimum Bachelor’s degree required.
- State certification in educational administration.
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, with demonstrated leadership capacity.
- Proven ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to fostering a positive, Christ-centered school culture.
- Proficiency in technology platforms including Google Workspace and school management software.
