The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area.  Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for greeting all guests to the Cardinal Rigali Center, issuing proper credentials for visitors, and directing attendees to meeting rooms. This position is critical to the daily operations to ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given proper information and directions while maintaining the security of the facility.

Job Responsibilities

· Greet all entrants to the building upon arrival and assist them with directions to their proper location or inquires.

· Be available to answer questions and offer help to meeting attendants.

· Prepare and set up beverages for meetings.

· General security of the building such as making sure all outside doors are locked at the end of a shift.

· Answer/ fix simple A/V questions.

· Inform Facilities Manager of any problems with A/V equipment, meeting rooms or the building during a shift.

· Knowledge & Experience Requirements

· Ability to use computer programs to include word processing and e-mail.

· Good understanding of the structure, mission and organization of the Archdiocese.

· An appreciation of the significance of these Catholic Facilities is very important.

· Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others is essential.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize daily tasks to meet the needs of the facility.

· Must be able to communicate through written, telephonic and personal interactions with a positive and understanding attitude.

 

Relationships Requirements

1. Must be willing to change tasks as needs arise throughout the day to meet occupant’s needs.

2. Positive in all interactions with staff and visitors to the facility is essential

3. Must keep the Facilities Manager apprised of any situations that could result in disruption to operations at the Cardinal Rigali Center.
