Job Summary

Bishop DuBourg High School, a co-ed Catholic school, is seeking a full-time Campus Minister and religion teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. Bishop DuBourg High School is committed to educating a diverse coeducational community, enabling young people to reach their full potential and live out our school motto of Faith in Christ…Service to Others.  This full-time position includes part-time teaching responsibilities and part-time leadership of Campus Ministry.

Job Responsibilities

-Inspire students to explore and deepen their understanding of religious teachings

-Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment where students feel valued and supported while engaging in lessons that encourage critical thinking and reflection on moral and ethical issues

-Provide mentorship and guidance to students as they navigate their faith journey.

-Collaborate with colleagues to integrate religious teachings into various subjects and school activities

-Develop, plan and coordinate vibrant programming to bring students and school community into a deeper relationship with Jesus

Job Requirements

- Strong personal relationship with Jesus and a deep love for the Catholic church; must be a practicing Catholic.

- Passion for sharing faith with high school-aged students

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in education and/or theology

- Effective organizer, planner, and implementer

-Three or more successful years of teaching experience preferred but NOT required

-Work collaboratively as part of a team in a Professional Learning Community

-Effectively manage the classroom environment

-Differentiate instruction to challenge and meet the needs of all students
