School Custodian

Job Summary
The School/Parish Custodian provides cleaning, setup, tear down, and all custodial services, (including but not limited to) trash removal, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning etc. in the school, gym, cafeteria and entire campus as needed/directed.
Reports to: Maintenance Manager and Director of Parish Operations
Job Responsibilities
- Keeps school building, including restrooms/hallways clean throughout the day.
- Empty trash before and after lunch, wipe tables and put up
- Set up and cleanup of tables and chairs for daily events. Cleaning before and after.
- Inspects and cleans walls for graffiti and markings.
- Empty trashcans, vacuum, mop, scrub floors, clean doors and windows as required.
- Perform weekly, monthly, semiyearly, yearly or as needed janitorial duties and projects as directed by Maintenance Manager, Director of Parish Operations, or Pastor.
- Secures and stores all cleaning supplies and equipment after completion of duties.
- Maintains all cleaning equipment in a safe and working order.
- Other duties as required by management.
Job Requirements
- Ability to perform outlined tasks with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with cleaning/janitorial equipment and supplies & safe use and storage.
- Ability to work with a variety of constituents including children.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all office records which may be accessible in individual offices.
Working Conditions
- Position will require lifting up to 50 lbs and may include exposure to chemicals, dust, dirt, and bacteria.
- The position may require reporting to work before or remaining after office hours.
