Job Summary

St. Franics of Assisi School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Middle School Science Teacher to join our faculty. This role will involve teaching Science to students in middle school, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting the academic and personal growth of students. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for education, an ability to engage students in meaningful learning experiences, and a commitment to the school’s mission.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans for Science in alignment with state standards and school curriculum.
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Foster critical thinking, reading comprehension, writing, and communication skills in students.
  • Assess student progress through assignments, projects, quizzes, and exams, and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Create and maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Incorporate technology and other resources to enhance instruction.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences, school meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data.

 

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science or related field.

· Teaching certification in Missouri for Middle School Science

· Proven experience teaching middle school students in Science

· Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage students.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficiency in using educational technology and learning management systems.

· Passion for working with middle school students and helping them succeed academically and personally.
