Job Summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Applications Manager – ERP (SuccessFactors / HRIS) to lead and oversee the Human Capital Management (HCM) application portfolio. This role provides operational leadership, ensures system stability and security, and drives ongoing improvements across SuccessFactors and related HR systems. The role includes managing a team of application professionals and external partners, collaborating with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and other stakeholders, and supporting future implementations of Payroll and Time Management modules.

Job Responsibilities

Leadership & People Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of ERP/HRIS application analysts and administrators
  • Establish goals, performance expectations, and professional development plans
  • Foster a collaborative, service-oriented culture aligned with the Archdiocese’s mission
  • Manage relationships with vendors, system integrators, and external partners
  • Serve as escalation point for complex system and cross-functional issues

Strategic & Operational

  • Define and own the HRIS and ERP application roadmap, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities
  • Oversee day-to-day SuccessFactors operations, ensuring performance, availability, and scalability
  • Lead future Payroll and Time Management implementations
  • Govern integrations with PlanSource, Lawson Payroll, and other enterprise systems
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with policies and employment laws
  • Manage security, role-based access, and support audits
  • Act as trusted advisor to HR, Payroll, Benefits, and leadership teams

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of SAP experience, including deep expertise in SAP SuccessFactors
  • 10+ years of people leadership experience managing ERP or application teams
  • Experience with HR systems including Employee Central, Recruiting, Benefits Administration, security/role-based permissions, and integrations
  • Proven experience managing complex system integrations and external partners
  • Strong understanding of HR data security, governance, and compliance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Payroll and Time Management solutions
  • SAP SuccessFactors certifications (Employee Central, Recruiting, etc.)
  • Experience in nonprofit, education, healthcare, or faith-based organizations
  • Experience supporting multi-entity organizations
