Job Summary
St. Clement of Rome is seeking qualified and dependable Substitute Teachers to provide classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher. Substitute Teachers play an important role in supporting student learning and upholding the mission and values of Catholic education. Ideal candidates will maintain a structured, respectful, and faith-centered environment that reflects the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Job Responsibilities

Deliver teacher-prepared lesson plans and maintain classroom routines and expectations

Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, and other areas as required

Manage classroom behavior in a manner consistent with school policies and Catholic values

Support a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere that fosters student learning

Maintain accurate attendance and report any incidents or concerns to administration

Communicate effectively with school staff and administration

Uphold the Catholic identity and mission of the school through example and conduct
Job Requirements

Previous classroom or childcare experience strongly preferred

Practicing Catholic preferred, but all applicants must support the mission of Catholic education

Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Completion of all diocesan Safe Environment requirements, including background check and training

Flexibility and availability to work on short notice
