Job Summary
St. Stephen Protomartyr, a parish school within the Archdiocese of St. Louis, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Summer Camp Aide to support our summer program. The Camp Aide will assist in implementing engaging activities for children, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and faith-aligned environment that supports spiritual, social, and emotional growth. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with children in a collaborative, energetic setting rooted in Catholic values.
Job Responsibilities

Assist Camp Leaders and staff in planning and leading daily camp activities (arts, crafts, games, outdoor play, field trips, etc.)

Monitor and ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times

Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful camp environment

Help set up, clean, and maintain activity areas and supplies

Supervise campers during transitions, meals, and free play

Serve as a role model, demonstrating behavior in alignment with Catholic values and camp expectations

Communicate any concerns or incidents to the Camp Director or appropriate staff

Participate in staff meetings and training as required

Perform other duties as assigned by the Camp Director or administrative team
Job Requirements

Minimum age: 16 years old

Experience working with children (volunteer or paid) preferred

Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with others

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated responsibility, dependability, and maturity

Enthusiastic, patient, and flexible

Willingness to uphold the values and mission of the Archdiocese of St. Louis and St. Stephen Protomartyr School

Must complete required Archdiocesan Safe Environment training and background check prior to start
