Job Summary
Our Lady of Pillar, a Catholic elementary/middle/high school dedicated to faith-based education and academic excellence, is seeking a caring, dependable, and dedicated Teacher Assistant. The ideal candidate will support the classroom teacher in creating a nurturing, faith-filled, and academically stimulating environment rooted in Catholic values. This position requires a commitment to the mission of Catholic education, collaboration with staff, and a genuine love for working with children.
Job Responsibilities

Assist the lead teacher with instruction, classroom management, and supervision of students.

Reinforce lessons presented by teachers by reviewing material with students individually or in small groups.

Help prepare classroom materials, resources, and learning activities.

Support the spiritual and moral development of students in alignment with Catholic teachings.

Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, playground, cafeteria, and during school events as needed.

Promote positive student behavior and uphold school discipline policies.

Attend and participate in faculty meetings, in-service training, and faith formation activities as required.

Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

Perform other duties as assigned by the teacher or school administration.
Job Requirements

Prior experience working with children or in a school setting is highly desirable.

Practicing Catholic preferred; must respect and support the Catholic mission and values of the school.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a faith-centered educational team.
