Job Summary
Holy Cross Academy - Summer Program Assistants: Summer assistants work with 2-6 year olds supporting teachers with lessons through play-based learning centers.
Candidates will work with a group of people to provide a team approach with classroom activities, outside times, water play, and daily school tasks. Contact: Angie Langhauser, preschool@hca-stl.org
Hours: 25-40 weekly Position starting May 27, 2025 - August 6, 2025, regular weekly schedule for the 11 weeks.
Job Responsibilities
- Summer assistants help children transition to a new summer classroom
- Help children develop friendships
- Complete art projects
- Read stories
- Assist with snacks and lunch time
- Monitor children when outside
- Help teachers with classroom management
- Complete all other tasks assigned
Job Requirements
- Ability to navigate multiple stairs and playground surfaces
- Sit on floor and smaller chairs to work with children
- Ability to lift 40 lbs on a daily basis
- Must be 16 years or older
- Complete Protecting God's Children training and background check
