Job Summary
All Saints Catholic School, St Peters seeks a dedicated and organized Assistant Aftercare Director to lead and oversee the school’s aftercare program. The Aftercare Director ensures a safe, nurturing, and faith-centered environment for students during extended care hours. This role involves managing staff, coordinating activities, and fostering a community that reflects the school’s Catholic mission and values.
Job Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and oversee daily operations of the aftercare program in alignment with Catholic educational principles

Supervise, train, and support aftercare aides and staff to maintain a safe, respectful, and engaging environment

Plan and coordinate age-appropriate activities, including homework assistance, recreational play, crafts, and faith-based enrichment

Ensure compliance with all diocesan, state, and local regulations regarding child safety and program operation

Manage enrollment, attendance tracking, and billing in coordination with school administration

Communicate effectively with parents, addressing concerns and providing updates on program activities

Maintain clean, organized, and safe facilities and equipment used during aftercare hours

Develop and enforce discipline policies consistent with school standards and Catholic values

Collaborate with school leadership to promote the aftercare program and integrate it into the wider school community

Complete and maintain required reports, records, and documentation

Participate in professional development and diocesan Safe Environment training
Job Requirements

Minimum of a high school diploma; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience in childcare, education, or program management, preferably in a school or faith-based setting

Leadership skills with ability to manage and motivate a team

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities

Practicing Catholic preferred, with a commitment to the school’s mission and values

Must complete diocesan Safe Environment requirements and background checks

CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
