Job Summary
The Aftercare Coordinator is responsible for managing and supervising the after-school care program ensures a safe, engaging, and faith-filled environment for students. The coordinator plans daily activities, oversees staff and student interactions
Job Responsibilities

Supervise and ensure the safety of all students in the aftercare program.

Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, including homework time, crafts, games, and outdoor play.

Manage daily sign-in and sign-out procedures, ensuring accurate attendance records.

Maintain discipline and promote respectful, kind behavior aligned with Catholic values.

Communicate regularly with parents and school administration regarding student behavior, scheduling, and program updates.

Oversee and train aftercare assistants or volunteers.

Monitor snacks, materials, and supplies, and ensure cleanliness of the aftercare space.

Respond appropriately to minor injuries or incidents and follow school protocol for emergencies.
Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or child development preferred.

Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting.

Practicing Catholic or respectful of Catholic values and willing to support the school’s mission.

Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to manage a team and maintain a structured, nurturing environment.
