Job Summary

  The Aftercare Employee provides a safe, caring, and engaging environment for students in grades Pre-K through 8 during after-school hours. This position supports the mission of Sacred Heart Catholic School by fostering respect, responsibility, and faith-filled interactions. The aftercare employee will supervise students in the aftercare program, ensuring safety and appropriate behavior at all times. They will follow all school policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise Pre-K–8 students during after-school hours to ensure safety and appropriate behavior

  • Lead age-appropriate activities and foster respectful, responsible interactions

  • Maintain attendance records and communicate with parents as needed

  • Assist with snacks, clean-up, and organizing activity areas

  • Enforce school policies and safety procedures

  • Support the mission and values of Sacred Heart Catholic School

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Experience working with children preferred

  • Strong communication, supervision, and interpersonal skills

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

  • Physically able to supervise students indoors and outdoors

  • Must pass background checks and meet diocesan/state requirements
