The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area.  Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Summary

Responsible for coordinating and supporting various aspects of the Parish School of Religion (PSR) program, including scheduling events, managing communications, maintaining records, and assisting teachers and volunteers. This role ensures smooth administrative operations and supports religious education through organized planning and clerical support.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between PSR teachers and parents through organized meetings, ensuring clear and consistent updates throughout the academic year.

  • Organize and oversee safety drills, including the annual Active Shooter Presentation for students, in accordance with school and Archdiocesan policies.

  • Schedule and manage training sessions for student altar servers to support liturgical functions effectively.

  • Plan and coordinate the monthly Rosary event to foster spiritual growth among students and staff.

  • Organize the annual Blessing of Bibles ceremony each October, emphasizing the importance of scripture in the religious curriculum.

  • Coordinate the annual Blessing of Religious Items event each May, allowing students to engage with their faith traditions.

  • Recruit, schedule, and manage volunteers to assist with classroom support and supervision in the hall foyer.

  • Develop and maintain the PSR academic calendar, incorporating all key events, holidays, and instructional days.

  • Create and distribute attendance rosters to PSR teachers to ensure accurate record-keeping and student accountability.

  • Develop and publish a schedule for altar servers to ensure consistent support during religious services.

  • Maintain and update the Oldest Child List to assist with communication and administrative tasks.

  • Update and manage the comprehensive PSR spreadsheet annually to reflect current enrollment, teacher assignments, and schedules.

  • Keep PSR teachers informed of all new policies, changes, and important updates from the Archdiocese or parish leadership.

  • Prepare and submit required documentation to the Archdiocese in a timely and organized manner, adhering to diocesan requirements.

  • Perform additional administrative and program support tasks as needed to ensure smooth operation of the PSR program.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma 

  • Past clerical experience
