Job Summary
Holy Rosary Catholic School is seeking a passionate, creative, and faith-filled Art Teacher to teach visual arts to students in grades Kindergarten through 8th. The ideal candidate will integrate Catholic values into the curriculum, foster creativity, and inspire students to appreciate and express themselves through art.
Job Responsibilities

Plan and implement an engaging art curriculum that aligns with national and diocesan standards and integrates Catholic values.

Teach age-appropriate techniques and art history to students in K–8.

Encourage creative expression while helping students develop artistic skills in a variety of media (drawing, painting, sculpture, etc.).

Incorporate cross-curricular connections where appropriate (e.g., religion, history, literature).

Display student artwork throughout the school and participate in school-wide events such as art shows, Catholic Schools Week, and liturgical celebrations.

Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.

Assess student progress and maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior.

Communicate effectively with parents, faculty, and administrators.

Participate in school-wide professional development, staff meetings, and faith formation opportunities.

Serve as a positive role model, upholding the mission, philosophy, and teachings of the Catholic Church.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field

Practicing Catholic preferred; commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education required.

Previous teaching experience with elementary or middle school students is highly desirable.

Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students.

Familiarity with a wide range of artistic tools, techniques, and digital media is a plus.
