Job Summary

The Archdiocese of St. Louis strives to teach and share our faith, serve others, and foster unity throughout the St. Louis area. Once a part of Kenrick-Glennon Seminary's campus, the Cardinal Rigali Center in Shrewsbury, MO is today the headquarters and curia (governing body) for the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Job Responsibilities

Our catechists enrich the spiritual development of our students by leading them to unique encounters with Christ. They do this in a variety of ways: by what they say and do in the classroom, as well as by their words and actions as they participate in parish life and in the larger community. Catechists work with the parents of our students to help the children in their care see how God works in the Church, in the world, and in their lives.

 

        Commit to teaching for the full PSR school year

        Prepare for each class through the creation or review of appropriate lesson plans

        Comply with the Archdiocesan learning standards published for the grade-level you are assigned to teach

        Be in the classroom and ready to teach at least 15 minutes before the start of class
