Job Summary
The Driver safely transports students, staff, and authorized passengers to and from school, extracurricular activities, and school-sponsored events. This role supports the mission and values of the Catholic high school by promoting safety, responsibility, courtesy, and respect while representing the school community.
Job Responsibilities

Safely operate a school bus or school vehicle along assigned routes and schedules.

Transport students to and from school, athletic events, retreats, field trips, and other approved activities.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting mechanical or safety concerns promptly.

Maintain discipline and ensure orderly conduct of passengers following school policies and Catholic values of respect and dignity.

Assist students with boarding and exiting the vehicle when needed.

Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws and school transportation regulations.

Maintain accurate records of mileage, passenger counts, and trip logs as required.

Communicate professionally with school staff, parents, and administrators regarding transportation issues.

Keep the vehicle clean, safe, and properly fueled.

Support the school’s mission by modeling ethical behavior, responsibility, and respect.
Job Requirements

Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type and currently hold, or be willing to obtain, a Class E Chauffeur License

Clean driving record with no major violations.

Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and any required training.

Knowledge of safe driving practices and student supervision.

Strong interpersonal skills and patience when working with high school students.

Prior experience driving school buses or student transport vehicles preferred.
