Job Summary
The Lead Maintenance Person ensures the proper operation, cleaniness, safety, and maintenance of the church, rectory, parish, office, and relate facilities. This role serves as the hands-on leader for day-to-day maintenance tasks and support the parish's mission by providing a welcoming and functional environment for worship and community life.
Job Responsibilities
- Facility Maintenance
- Perform general maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, capentry, and HVAC repairs.
- Confuct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of all parish buildings
- Identify and respond promptly to maintenance needs and emergency issues
- Cusodial Duties
- Ensures buildings are clean, orderly, and ready for services and events
- Oversee setup and breakdown for Masses, parish meetings, and special functions
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of experience in building maintenance or related trades
- Working knowledge of basic building systems and hand/power tools
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform physically demanding work
- Self-motivated, dependable, and respectful of Catholic values and spaces
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or with a team
