Job Summary
St. Gertrude is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and faith-filled individuals to serve as Summer Camp Aides for our Catholic summer program. The Summer Camp Aide supports camp counselors and staff in providing a safe, fun, and spiritually enriching environment for children
Job Responsibilities

Help implement daily activities including games, crafts, outdoor play, and faith-based lessons.

Support religious activities such as morning prayer, Bible stories, and participation in Mass or chapel time.

Ensure camper safety by following all protocols and addressing behavioral issues promptly.

Set up and clean up activity areas; help maintain an orderly camp environment.

Serve as a positive role model reflecting Catholic values and respectful behavior.

Communicate effectively with campers, staff, and parents as needed.
Job Requirements

Experience working with children in any setting preferred.

Practicing Catholic or respectful of the teachings and mission of the Catholic Church.

Completion of required background checks and child protection training (e.g., Virtus: Protecting God’s Children).

Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from senior staff.

Energetic, dependable, and compassionate.
