Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and custodial tasks to ensure that the buildings, equipment, and grounds are clean, safe, and operating properly. This includes preventative maintenance, responding to repair requests, and assisting with facility improvement projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist with janitorial duties including cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal when needed.

  • Ensure public areas such as restrooms, classrooms, hallways, and entrances are clean and in good repair.

  • Monitor and replenish maintenance supplies and equipment.

  • Ensure all safety procedures are followed in daily work.

  • Identify and report potential safety hazards or needed repairs

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in facility maintenance, custodial, or general repair work.

  • Working knowledge of basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.

  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment.

  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand or walk for extended periods, and work in varying weather conditions.

  • Flexibility to respond to emergencies or off-hour requests.
