Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the care, upkeep, and efficient operation of the buildings, grounds, and facilities of [Parish Name]. The technician performs routine maintenance, repairs, and custodial duties to support a clean, safe, and reverent environment for worship, ministry, and community events, in alignment with the Catholic Church’s mission and values.
Job Responsibilities
Facilities Maintenance

Perform minor repairs to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and lighting systems.

Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.

Inspect and troubleshoot maintenance issues and resolve them in a timely manner.

Maintain parish buildings including the church, rectory, parish office, school (if applicable), and any auxiliary facilities.
Teamwork & Parish Life

Work cooperatively with parish staff, volunteers, and ministry leaders.

Treat all parishioners and visitors with courtesy and respect.

Support the reverence of sacred spaces by maintaining a clean and respectful environment.
Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience in building maintenance or a similar role.

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
